The reviews for Stephen Volk’s Whitstable are really starting to come in now, and this is the latest. It’s from Richard Kellum and can be found on his Elf-Machines From Hyperspace blog/website. The link to the review is here.
Copies of the limited signed and numbered hardback edition are still available on pre-order from the Spectral Shop – the link can be found on the menu bar at the top of this page.
In related news, as part of the promotion for the novella, Stephen Volk and publisher Simon Marshall-Jones will be appearing at various events. One of these, as yet provisional and still in the planning stages, is a launch in the seaside town of Whitstable itself, in Kent – more details of that as and when we have them.
A firmer possibility is an appearance/presentation/signing at the Fantastiq Film Festival to be held at The Quad, Derby, UK, between August 9th – 11th. There will be copies of the book for sale, as well as a Spectral-sponsored screening of Hammer’s 1958 version of Dracula, featuring none other than Peter Cushing himself as Dr. Van Helsing. This should be a brilliant weekend!
